World Series 2008 - Game 5

Jeff's favorite team is the Phillies, so he was thrilled to be able to go to the world series game. He flew out the morning of and went to the game. It was "awesome" to put it in his own words.

Jeff and Randy. They had 4th row seats! They sat right behind Rays dugout! The atmosphere was electric!

As I'm sure you all know, it was extremly rainy and wet and cold. The game got postponed at the top of the 6th inning in a historic MLB suspension due to weather.

They were told that they just had to have their ticket to get back into the game. It was re-scheduled for the next night--weather permitting. Well, the rain continued and so did the wind.

The game was postponed for yet another day. Jeff had to come back for meetings. So did Randy. Sadly, he didn't get to see the ending of the game in person. He had to fly home. But luckily, Jeff happened to have another friend who was also visiting in PA. He ended up becoming the LUCKY recipient of the tickets.

Our Disneyland trip

While Jeff and Jens were hunting I took Sidney, Cade & Molly to Disneyland. Julie (mom), Julie (sis), Suzanna and all the kids came too.

I love how cute Disneyland is decorated for Halloween. It is my favorite time to go. Of course I have never seen it during Christmas. I would probably love it too.

Julie (sis) and her kids rode down with me. 6 kids under the age of 8 years old in the car....LONG trip! Actually it wasn't that bad. They were all really pretty good. Julie (mom) and Suzi rode in Julie's car. They followed me there and back. And considering I drove about 90 mph both ways, that wasn't very easy to do. As I wove in and out of the California traffic, I only lost them once. Suzi didn't see me exit, but she was able to eventually catch up!

We always go down over fall break. We go on the Mon. Tues. and Wed. prior to or just after. We actually never go on the Thurs. Fri. and Sat. of fall break. It has always been great. We walk onto every ride. We walk on Splash Mtn. We walk on Grizzly Rapids, we walk on Pirates. But this year, we went on the Thurs, Fri & Sat. It was INSANE!!! 50 to 90 minute waits for those rides. I'll never make that mistake again.

The Haunted Mansion is re-done in the Nigthmare Before Christmas. It is decorated so cute.

We saw a ton of characters. I only took pictures of some of them.

But Cade sure isnt! He kept teasing them. Frozone and Mr. Incredible both came after him and played with him for a second when he would tease them.

I took all 4 of the kids to Disneyland by myself in April. We flew down so that was a little better. This time I just had the 3 and we drove. I love Disneyland but I'm fine NOT to go back for a while. Too much work!

A Hunting We Will Go...

Jeff drew out on the deer hunt so he and Jens went hunting over fall break. Jens lives everyday to hunt and fish, so to be able to go deer hunting with dad was just AmaZing!

Jeff's brother Scott got a deer after about 10 minutes of hunting. I don't think anyone else was quite as lucky....or at least their wives were not quite as lucky! Venicine anyone???

Tea Time

Suzi took the granddaughters pictures at Great Grandma's house. They turned out really cute. Here are some of my favorites.

A Little Better Weather

Jeff and I took the kids and Jaxon & Averi and went to our house down south. The weather wasn't as warm as usual but it sure beat the snow and rain! Jeff and the boys went to the college football game. Our friend Scott is the offensive coordinator for the team, so he got Jeff sideline passes. They won 16 to 6 so it was a fun day. Don't ask me why I didn't send the camera with him but I didn't. But Scott's wife Jodi and his son Nick came over to our house later, so at least I got a picture of them!

Molly pulled the main bathroom toilet paper all the way down the hall and around the corner into the master bedroom. What a mess.

I know that these diseases are very serious....but this sign on the front of the buiding just caught me funny. Just something about seeing it in print!
