Taking Cade to the MTC

AUGUST 17TH

Cade's girlfriend came over to say goodbye to him on Sunday, August 14th on her way out of town.  She left 3 days before him to report to college in St. George at Dixie.  That was a hard goodbye for them but they are both excited for their future adventures over the next two years.  Then on Wednesday, August 17th we drove Cade over to the MTC in Provo after he had spent 9 days at home doing home MTC.  Jackson and Sidney drove over behind us.  Jens and Alex said their goodbyes the night before.  Cade stilled called Jens the afternoon of to say bye.  He also called aunt Julie's mom, Sonia, Grandma Kathy who is Halle's grandma, Halle's mom Carrie and his grandma Gloria and Grandma Julie.  Then he wanted to swing by the cemetery on our way so he could say bye to grandpa's Duane and Jensen.  Then it was a quick hug bye!  His little mission bell hop came out to greet him and help him with his luggage. I'm so proud of the man Cade has grown up to be.  He amazes me and entertains me everyday.  Every Single Day he makes me laugh or at least smile really big.  He is going to move mountains!

First day of HIGH SCHOOL for Mollva!

AUGUST 17, 2022
My baby is a SOPHOMORE!! She was so excited to start school - high school too!  She looked so amazing in her dress!  She's just gorgeous!  Only downfall of this day was that Cade also entered the MTC this day.  Ironically, Jens also entered the MTC on the 17th of August.  What are the odds!

Cade's Farewell

July 31, 2022
Cade had a PACKED house for his farewell.  President Trotter was presiding and he said that the last time he saw that many people in the stake center - it was stake conference!  Cade gave a great talk and Jeff spoke as well.  Mark & Crystal saved my life with all their help for his farewell brunch.  I'm so blessed to have the friends that I do.  I love them and thank God for them everyday.

We served biscuits and gravy - sausage patties - egg casseroles - raspberry and orange rolls from Shirley's Bakery -fruit - milk - chocolate milk - and juice.

Jensen Cousin Get Together

I grew up as the youngest grandchild on my Jensen side.  In fact, me and my 4 brothers are THE youngest 5 grandkids on the entire side.  Our parents divorced when I was 10 and as a result we were just not very close to the Jensen side.  I had a couple cousins in the state in June for our aunt Norma's wedding.  I was finally able - at the age of 46 to finally meet the last of my first cousins!  Norma's son Kevin was the last one on my list to meet!  I only met Shelly, his sister just last year.  Well Shelly was back to Utah again from Idaho, for Norma's 89th birthday.  My cousin Julie was also in from Oregon.  We decided to get together for a lunch.  Just us girls.  Then we decided to do it later in the evening because of work.  Then we decided to invite ALL the cousins.  Almost all of us were there!  We JUST missed getting cousin Gloria - she had just left to go back home to Atlanta, we missed Michael, Kevin, Kathy and Glen.  Glen came down with covid and Kathy's husband Steve got covid too.  So we missed them.  But we had the rest!  It was so good to see everyone, to talk and catch up on each others lives.  Turns out that most of the cousins had lost touch with each other after childhood so it was a fantastic get together for everyone.
