Last Day of School Dance Party
We had the most fun last day of school party! My neighbors Travis and Shasta hired a DJ to come and we had a big dance party. We had out a ton of candy and nachos for the kids. It was open to pretty much every age so we had 3rd graders there along with 6th and 8th graders. I was so impressed with those 6th graders. They were so excited to dance! This was really like their first real dance and they all had fun. No one was shy and everyone danced the entire night. Not one wallflower among them!
Sidney and her friends (and some of Jens' friends too)
Jens and his friends
Kaylie and Sydnie
These girls are Jens' friends. Kaylie (the blonde) is also our next door neighbor and she just seems to get prettier and prettier with each passing day.
Cecily and Sidney
Sam and Sidney
The DJ brought really cool lights!
And Devin and Sidney
Cecily and Tyus
Sidney and her friends.
The DJ played the song Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepson and everyone went crazy singing it!
Jens and Grace
Sidney danced with Jeff too!
Some of the adult chaperone's: Jamie, Janie, Andrea & Cassie.
We went out and did the Electric Slide. It was GREAT!
Super fun party! AND as a bonus, we were able to know what our little buggers were "up to" and who they were with all night!

Molly's Preschool Graduation
Molly had her preschool graduation the other day. She has LOVED preschool! Her teacher was darling and she made so many new friends.
They sang songs, did their shapes, colors, counted for us and did all their letters in sign language.
Molly you are so sweet and you have been so fun to watch this year as you have learned so many new things. You are a total joy!
Sidney's 6th Grade Promotion
Sidney had her 6th grade graduation today. These pictures with the boys crack me up because we had to put the girls in back because they are all taller than the boys. In about 2 more years when these boys hit puberty I'll have to take another picture of them all, and that time I am sure the girls will be in front.
Best Friends
Sidney - Cecily - Gracie - Lela
I had to take a picture of these 3 girls alone because they all went to the same preschool together and have been friends ever since.
Here they are on their first day of kindergarten.
And here they are on their kindergarten graduation.
I can't wait to take a picture of them when they are seniors in high school and are graduating!
Congratulations Sid on finishing elementary school! You are going to love junior high!

Dance Season Comes to a Close
Sidney has had her final dance competition for the season. Her team did so good! They took white diamond (which is first place) in one of their dances and a second and third in the other competitions.
I really wish I was better at taking action shots in a dark place. Sadly these are about the most clear pictures.
My cute niece Averi (center)
The cousins: Katelyn, Averi & Sidney
Miss Molly had her dance recital and she could not have been cuter! She looked so darling dancing up on that stage!
My cute niece Katelyn doing one of my favorite dances. They danced to the song Rio from the Disney movie Rio. It was so darling.
All the dancing girl cousins, minus two; Emma & Ellie, who left early.
So Pretty
I saw this butterfly outback today and I just had to take a picture of it. It was so big, almost as big as and orange, and it looked so pretty on the purple lilacs. I hardly ever see big, colorful butterflies anymore. It seems like all I ever see are the little white ones.

Why Cade?
Today we went to a homecoming of a family friend. After sacrament was over, my sweet little Caden walks up to our friend Jodi (who he hasn't seen for maybe a month or two) and says to her, "Heeeey Jodi! I haven't seen you forever! I didn't know that you had gained weight!"
...........Stunned silence..............
How do you apologize for that? He said it so non-chantly too, like it was a compliment or something. Thankfully she has a great personality and just laughed it off with me later.

Oreo Cake Bites
Sidney made some chocolate dipped strawberries and some Oreo cake bites today. She is seriously such a good little baker! Her dream is to one day open up her own bakery. I bet she'll make it!
Oreo Cake Bites
1 package Oreo's
4-6 ounces cream cheese
Chocolate for dipping
*3 simple ingredients! How easy is that! Chop your whole Oreo's in a food processor (cream in the middle and all) until they are finely ground up. Add 4 ounces or so of cream cheese by stirring it in with a spoon or you can just use your hands. (Your hands will be faster.) You can use the whole 8 ounce square of cream cheese but we liked this consistency. Roll into 1 inch balls and place them on a wax paper lined pan. Put them in the freezer for about 25 minutes. Pull them out of the freezer and stick a toothpick in them and dip them in melted chocolate and then put them back on the wax paper, take the toothpick out and place them back in the fridge until the chocolate hardens back and is no longer shiny.

Adios Solo!
Cute little Solo found a new home today.
The girls that took him will be great for him. One is a vet tech and her sister is the one who kennels him whenever we go out of town. They already love him and he already loves them so it's a perfect situation! He was so super darling but I just couldn't do it. I tried for 4 months and had to give up. I really am not a dog person.
This boy however was not thrilled about the idea but he knows that they will be better for him than we will. They know how to work with deaf dogs. I don't know how to work with any dog.
So goodbye Solo! I will miss your cute floppy ears!
