We decided to go to California for spring break with the Parry's. We left on Easter evening and headed to St. George for the night. The next morning we left for California. We Met the Parry family down there. We stayed at the Laguna Cliff's Marriott and Spa.
We spent some time on the beach. Everyone covered Jens and Jeff and built them into mermaids.
Cade caught lots of little crabs
Sidney, Molly, Grace and Bella took advantage of the sun and played in the sand.
We took total advantage of the hotel swimming pool and hot tub. Between my 4 kids, the Parry's 6 kids that they had with them and also Connor Kemp (that makes 7 total kids for them) We had ELEVEN kids between us and we dominated the swimming pool! I'm sure that every other hotel guest was happy to see us go!
Sid and Grace napped by the pool and got themselves a nice, toasty sunburn. They also enjoyed the view from the pool.
The boys had a deep sea fishing trip planned so Shasta, the girls and I decided to go to Disneyland for the day. It was crazy busy since it was spring break but we all had a great day!
This tree was in such a pretty bloom that I had to take a picture of it. There were a couple of them by Cinderella's castle.
Mereda from Brave saying hello to Bella.
Molly was so super excited to go to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and get a Jasmine outfit. I couldn't resist either. I so wish that I would have had just a little extra money all my life when Jens and Sidney were little. I would have dressed them up so cute too! But as it is, that never happened until they were a little too big for costumes at Disneyland. Bella got a Tiana costume. They looked so cute and you could just see their little imaginations working as they walked through the park.
Sidney and Gracie by the Matterhorn.
I love Disneyland!
Cade was a little disappointed that he was not going to be able to go to Disneyland with us for the day.
But he got out there on that boat and had the time of his life!
Jens was completely in his element out there with a fishing pole in his hand.
They caught a bunch of reds and sand dabs.
My boys, the Parry boys and Conner Kemp went. That night when we were all back to the hotel Cade said to me, "Mom I hate to admit this but it was actually way funner fishing than Disneyland would have been!"
Jeff had to leave midway through the trip for a business trip to Italy. So the kids and I decided to spend one day at Sea World.
The Killer Whales
Watching the Shamu show....
Molly was a little apprehensive about touching the sting rays.
The Beluga Whales
A rare moment of love between these little teasers....
This walrus was so big, blubbery and fat. It was eating some fish and it kept chewing it up and spitting it back out and sucking it back in and chewing it up again. It was gross to watch.
I think walrus's are such ugly creatures.
We loved seeing all the sharks, otters, dolphins and riding the rides.
The kids and I had fun and it was nice to get away. Sleeping in, eating out, sitting by the pool... We drove back to Saint George on Saturday afternoon, spent the night and then came home Sunday morning. It was a great trip.
