Easter Party

 2124 eggs!

Certainly not the most eggs I’ve ever had, but still it total crap ton! I invited a few less neighbors this year, taking my numbers down to about a total of 90 people in attendance. Is that insane still? YES it is! 

But I love it.

I bought THE CUTEST by this year. I wanted that pink beach cruiser for myself, ha ha! The kids all had fun and the parents did too. I love having this party. I love that everything is starting to come back to life. The earth is waking up from her sleep. The temperatures are starting to rise and we have a reminder that the Savior gave the ultimate gift of life everlasting.

We Laid Grandpa Duane to Rest

We had the most incredible funeral for Duane. There were hundreds of people Who came through the viewing the night before, and hundreds more in attendance for the funeral. I know he would have loved it. All five of the boys spoke and did incredible jobs. They each had the perfect amount of tenderness mixed with laughter.

It lasted exactly 1 hour and six minutes. We’re pretty happy that we stayed right on that one hour goal time. There were more flowers there than I could’ve ever imagined. I seriously think it’s the most flowers I’ve ever seen at any funeral. Such a tribute to the person he was and the family he has.

We ended the day with the delicious ham and funeral potato lunch back at the church. Other than the temperature dropping and it being quite cold, the sun was still shining and it was a beautiful day.
