We went to Maui, Hawaii with Travis and Shasta Parry and Brett and Heather Harris. Stayed at my favorite resort in the whole world – the Grand Wailea! I love that place so much!
We went to the spa for massages three different times. We sat in our cabana next to the pool and played in the ocean at the beach. We watched countless whales splash and play in the water. We had breakfast at our favorite breakfast spot Рthe Kihei Caf̩.
We went to a luau next-door at the Marriott. Saw the best comedy/magic show in town: Warren & Annabelle's. It's seriously one of our favorites. We've been there multiple times. Like at least 5 or 6 times. We got lucky and happened to meet Warren! He took a picture with us and then gave us free tickets for the next time we come back since we've been there so many times. So nice of him!
We did something new that we've never done before... We went to Kahului airport and took a 50 minute helicopter tour through Maverick Helicopter Tours. We flew over Molokai and Haleakala. It was so beautiful!
We went to church on Sunday to the Pukalani and Makawao wards which was where Jack had served. We talked to the bishop and counselor and they were so happy to meet Travis and Shasta. They had loved Jack!
After church, we spent some time in Paia. We ate lunch at the Kula Bistro and got shaved ice at Ululani's
We went to Ho'okipa beach to see the turtles and could've watched them for hours.
We (me, Travis and Brett) loved going for walks/runs along the beach early each morning as the sun would rise, and we all had the most delicious dinners each night.
It was relaxing, warm, and a much loved get away from the snow. We always have so much fun vacationing with friends.
