Valentines in SLC and Sweethearts for Mr. Scott

We took the kids and spent the weekend in SLC for Valentines.  Us girls went shopping at the mall while the boys went to the hunting expo.  Then we had dinner at Ruths Chris Steakhouse.  It was a nice getaway.

Cade and Halle had Sweethearts also this weekend.  They looked so handsome / pretty.  They had a great time!

January SNOW ❄️ ⛄️

 Just after Christmas day it started to snow. And it snowed. And it snowed! Poor Millie can’t hardly even go outside to potty because the snow is deeper than she is tall, ha ha! As much as I hate shoveling it and driving in it, we have desperately needed it. Utah has been in such a drought. 

Vincent Van Gogh Art Exhibit

The girls and I went to the Vincent van Gogh exhibit in Salt Lake. It was so neat! It was interactive and entertaining and we loved it. The first part was an area that had biographies written up on his life. You snaked your way through reading about his life, then went into one giant room that had partitions of a sort set up that his artwork was portrayed on. It was portrayed on the partitions, the walls and the floor and they moved and changed. The portraits would blink and if the portrait happened to have a person smoking a cigar, pipe or cigarette, the smoke would be circling around and up. It was so fascinating! 

 

Merry Christmas 2021

 This Christmas was wonderful!  I had ALL my kids under my roof and I don't know when or if that'll ever happen again.  JD & Alexandra slept over in Jens' old bedroom.  Sidney and Jackson slept over as well in Sidney's old bedroom.  Cade and Molly were of course here and Grandma Gloria.  It was perfect!  Cade will be gone on his mission for the next two Christmases and I will hopefully have grand babies by the time Cade gets home.  So chances are, we won't be sleeping over for Christmas like we did again.  Another one of those "good ol' days" moments for sure.  I just enjoyed everything and took the day in.  The boys all got new guns and us girls all got new Nike shoes.  Jeff spoiled me like I was a kid again!  I almost felt silly opening up so many presents.  After we opened everything up, my mom and I finished making breakfast.  Then Jeff, Cade and his buddy Kade Cloward finished the day by watching Porter play in his NFL game.  It was a perfect day!
