We spent the whole week of Memorial Day in Lake Powell with her friends and had so much fun! We left on Monday, May 25, 2020, which was Memorial Day. We didn’t come home until that following Sunday. Ryan and Jamie Johnson‘s family, Mark and Allison Johnson‘s family, Joel and Julie’s family and ours went down with a few of the kids friends. We stayed on Ryan and Jamie‘s house boat. We took it up the lake a couple hours to a beautiful spot. We had a perfect sandy beach and wide open spaces at our disposal. We ate delicious food, played fun card games, had lots of fun on all of the water toys and laughed and laughed. The kids played a really fun and intense game of water rugby using a watermelon for the football. The boys skinny dipped and thought they were so cool. Jeff splashed the sunbathing girls a few too many times on the WaveRunner, and finally we had the olympics. The kids were divided into 3 teams and each had to run a ropes course of sorts.... Everyone had a blast!
The only bummer was that Jones and Alexandra couldn’t come along with Keyne and Lexi. And I wish that Sidney could have brought Jackson along too. That would’ve made it totally complete!
Oh yeah, one other bummer - - - we ended up having BOTH boats break down in the middle of the lake AT THE SAME TIME! Both of them had to towed in and then one of the jet skis broke down. We were left with one working jet ski! But thankfully all this happened essentially on our last lake day. (the LAST last day we were simply packing up and hauling out - so thankfully it wasn't that bad.)
