Oh my gosh what a fun trip!! We bought tickets to go watch the NFR months ago with our friends. Rob, Gena, Debi and I left a couple hours before everyone else because us girls were also going to see Thunder Down Under! (insert big ol' smiley face here, haha!). The day that we were to leave came with a heavy winter storm. We were able to get ahead of it for the most part. Our traffic was sketchy until between Nephi and Scipio. Then it was pretty clear for the most part or was rainy. Sadly everyone else drove extremely slow on the slick, snow packed roads. It took them like 9 hours to get to Vegas. Thats twice as long as usual. But thankfully everyone made it safely. Debi, Gena and I had the time of our lives at Thunder! Then the rest of us also had a blast at the NFR, playing in the casino's, shopping and dining. I whoopsy slipsy accidently triple booked my weekend. I had the NFR in Vegas planned, I had Molly's cheer competition and I had my candy day planned too! I had Sidney take Molly to her cheer comp. I moved the candy day back to Sunday and made it all work. I caught a plane Saturday afternoon and came home early for candy day. It all worked out and was a great trip!
