I know I've talked about this river trail before, but I really love it so much. I wish that by looking at these pictures, you could hear the bubbling river beside me with the wind rustling the leaves of the trees and the crackling rattle of the pampas grass as I walk along the curving, winding trail. I wish you could smell the slightly sour tinge of the sagebrush each fall and see the yellow blossoms that it creates.
I love when I happen upon this owl and I get to see him majestically perched on this pole. I love this bench that is dedicated to baby Otto. I think about him and who he might have been and how loved he must be. I love the sunshine through the trees, whether it's a brilliant morning sun or the sun in the setting afternoon. I wonder who Emily is and what encouraged her to dedicate a bench here with words of encouragement. I love to hear the crickets. I like bringing Millie along. One day when she is gone, I'm going to miss having her companionship beside me.
