Molly’s First Fish! 🐟 🎣

Uncle Gary came down from Idaho so he and Jeff took the cousins fishing up at Strawberry.  Molly was finally able to catch her first fish! She was so excited!

Vegas - San Diego - July 4th

Jeff, Jens, Cade and Molly took a summer vacation down to San Diego (Sidney and I both had work)  They had so much fun! They spent the first and last nights in Vegas and the rest of the time in San Diego.  They went to a couple of Padre's games - our friend Randy Gage met up with them on one of the games.  They went to the beach, they saw the Navy ships in port and did lots of swimming.  Their last night, back up in Vegas, was on July 4th, so they were able to watch an awesome firework show - while in the pool of their hotel!

When they got to their hotel in Las Vegas, they had to stop by the "infamous" slot machine to take a picture.  Back story on the slot machine:  YEARS ago when Jens was probably around 12, the Diamond Dawgs were playing in a baseball tournament down in Vegas.  We were all staying at Southpoint Hotel and Casino.  The Dawgs were all egging Jeff on to put some money into one of the slot machines. Jeff, deciding to take it as a teaching opportunity decided to play along.  He told the boys to take a look around that the beautiful hotel they were staying at.  He told them to look at the grounds and the pools and the restaurants.  He told them that these hotels could afford all of those nice things because no one wins on gambling.  And to prove his point, he threw $10 into one of the slot machines.  He pulled the lever telling the boys to watch how FAST HE'D LOOSE his money.  Well - he hit a win and won like $100 or something.  The boys all cheered! Again to prove his point, he told them that they let you win to lure you in sometimes to play more.  He said, "see watch, I'll throw another $10 and I'm going to loose it right now." He put his money in, pulled the lever and won again!!!  Of course the boys all hooted and hollered!  Jeff simply took the money and they all got out of there, haha!  Then several years later when Jens was 18, Jeff took him and Nick Brumfield on a trip.  One of the places they stayed was at Southpoint again.  When walking in past that slot machine, Nick and Jens told Jeff to throw some money in it to see what happened.  Jeff was like, "to see what happens??? I'll tell you what happens... I'll loose it! Watch!" He threw some money in, pulled the lever and - - - JACKPOT! Hahahaha! He just took the money and walked away with no lesson taught except that you win on slot machines every time.

So now flash forward 3 more years when Jens is 21, they're back in the same hotel, with the same slot machine...... but all they did was take a picture. Haha!
