I love Easter

I love that everything is coming back to life and little farm babies are being born.  I love that it's starting to warm up outside.  I love the resurrection and that it means life after death.

On Easter Sunday we got up, had Easter for Cade and Molly, then went to church.  After church, we came home and had the married kids over for a money egg hunt.  Then we played "Pick a Pocket" which is a made up game that we play.  They can trade what money they find in their eggs or if they get a egg with a paper that states to "pick a pocket", then they can choose a pocket from either me or Jeff.  They might get a quarter or a piece of gum or they might get a $10 or $20 bill.  Its a total gamble and the kids love the thrill of it.

Then we went to Grandma Julie's for a party.  It was a wonderful day.

I'm a fortunate person to have both the relationships and the means to be able to host this event.  I love it.  I am so happy that I can share it with those I love.  Having them all around me refills my cup. 

 

The BVI & Scrub Island

SCRUB ISLAND

March 8 - 18, 2022

We spent 10 magical days in the British Virgin Islands with Travis & Shasta Parry and Brett & Heather Harris.  We flew from SLC to ATL and from there to Puerto Rico, where we spent the night.  The next day we flew in our own private plane to Tortolla.  That plane ride was incredible!  Our views flying in over the islands was gorgeous!  From Tortolla we took a ferry out to Scrub Island.  We stayed in our own home on Scrub Island.  Everyday we went and explored someplace new.  We might have taken the ferry back to Tortolla and played all day over there.  We might have taken the ferry to Virgin Gorda and played all day over there.  We may have been on Jost Van Dyke or Cooper Island.  We dined at the most delicious places.  Swam in the warm, turquoise waters.  Sat out by our own private pool and read books while we soaked up the sun.  We toured around an old rum distillery and made the best memories together!  Scrub was good to us!
