Merry Christmas 2020

Jackson and Sidney came over and spent the night and it was so fun to have them here for Christmas with us! Jens and Alexandra came over that morning and opened all their presents with us as well. Jeff wrote me a really sweet letter that he had me read aloud. In it he stated how we had been married for 25 years. We had to skip our 25th anniversary trip to Italy and Prague because of coronavirus. He knows how much I love family time, so to make up for that, he decided to give ALL of us a trip to Hawaii in June! Everyone was so excited to hear the news!

My Christmas Village

I swear if this wasn’t so big and took up so much space, I would leave it up until February! I love this village. I sit and look at it sometimes and imagine myself shrinking down and walking the streets of it.

Candy Day

Somehow I forgot to post candy day earlier. Oh well! My annual Candy day was on Saturday, December 4, 2020. It was a little smaller this year with some family members out sick and others worried about spreading coronavirus. But it was still the fun, bonding time with family that it always is. We all seem to struggle a little bit this year. Mandy had to make three batches of divinity before she could get it to turn out right. Sidney made two batches of symphony fudge. She brought both batches to the softball stage but for whatever reason neither one of them turned out. They were both so soft, like caramel! Gloria made a batch of fudge and cooked it to the softball stage as well but it was so hard, dry and crumbly. We all struggled this year but somehow we still made plenty of delicious treats to go around!
