We flew down to Las Vegas on Thursday, July 11 - Sunday, July 14th to celebrate my mom's 78th birthday. We stayed at the JW Marriott resort. It was a really great property with a really fun pool. It was such a fun trip! She had fun hitting the slots while Molly and I did a little shopping. We went and saw Mad Apple at New York, New York and also Michael Jackson ONE at Mandalay Bay. They were both SO GOOD! We also got to visit with my cousin Kandi for a couple of hours.
We met up with Mark and Crystal and took Gloria to dinner at Cheesecake Factory.
The only downfall of the trip was that the western half of the United States was having a serious heat wave. Our average temperature sat around 118° and by about 11:00 PM – midnight, it would cool down to somewhere around 104°. The place was HOT!
But beyond the heat, it was so much fun. None of us wanted to come home. We seriously had the best time!
