Cade's Homecoming ⛪️

What a very full weekend!  It ended Sunday with Cade's homecoming. He gave an excellent talk to a very full sacrament meeting room, including the gym and the stage. Wow!  He had so much support. He has matured so much and did an incredible job on his talk. The musical number were In My Sacred Grove sung by Emily Slade and I am a Disciple of Christ sung by Nate Mildenstein. They were beautiful. And lastly Brother Brown from the High Council spoke and gave the most raw, heartfelt , real talk.  It was an excellent meeting. I rented the Salem Rec Center for the luncheon and fed more people than I even have any idea. We feel so blessed to be loved by so many.

Sidney and Halle decided to run together in their first ever half marathon, second one for Emma.  They Set this goal and trained for months. I was so proud of them!  I could never do that.  As the race approached, doubt crept in and they wanted to back out, but they didn't.  They showed up and did it!! It started up Orobo Canyon and finished at a junior high school in Lindon. It was cold up the canyon in those early morning hours and but the day soon warmed up as they ran. Emma came in first for the group and Halle and Sid finished together.

A couple of Emma's friends also ran it. Every single of of them were total rockstars!

Elder Higginson comes HOME! 🏡

Mr Scott finally made it home and we are all so happy! All the Higginson side made it to the airport to welcome him home along with Halle and his best bud Sammy. We were full of the best tears and hugs!  We went from the airport straight to Temple Square to meet with President Wally Trotter to get Cade released.  We met him up there because a Cade was planning on driving right back up to Logan to go to a football game.  Then we stopped at Kneaders for a quick bite to eat before making our way home.  Grandma's Gloria and Clella met us at home along with Halle's parents and baby sis. His other best buddy Wyatt (Bart) also pulled in right behind us.  It was so good to have him home!
