Introducing William Jeffrey Higginson

 June 3, 2026

Miss Alexandra's water broke at 3:30am a week early.  I was devastated that this little grandson was going to be born while I was still in Mexico!!  She labored all the rest of the night, and all day long.  She dilated to a 9 & 1/2 and quit.  Then went backwards and it started closing, which was so weird.  They ended up doing a c-section again.  She was so disappointed- until he was delivered at 8:00pm and they found out he was a whopping 9lbs and 21 inches!  He was just too big for her.  Dr Nance said she probably could've delivered him but he would have dislocated his shoulder or broken a collarbone.  She was A-OK with the c-section after that.  We FaceTimed from Mexico to see that little bundle of joy with a full head of hair!

We could not get home soon enough!

We made it home late in the night on the 7th.  So we went to meet him first thing in the morning on June 8th.  We came with breakfast in tow and hugs to go around.  We are so grateful to have another little life in our lives.

Two days later, I got to give Will his first bath at home.  Sweet Alexandra, who was sore and unable to lift much weight from the c-section, so they asked me to bathe him and I HAPPILY obliged!  I couldn't wait to get my hands on that head of hair!

On another day when I was babysitting Indie, I went down with dinner for everyone and was able to get some pictures of all my littles altogether.

Will is 10 days old - Indie is 6 months old - Jace is just a month shy of being 3 years old
