Sidney's Jr. Prom

April 29, 2017
Sidney's Junior Prom with Brook Vaitohi
I love that Sidney has her do her makeup each dance.  I know I'm prejudice but I think she's a STUNNING BEAUTY!
Sometimes I style her hair and sometimes she has someone else do it.  Lindsay Hallows did her hair for this dance and she did an amazing job!  It looked beautiful!

She saw this dress online at Storenvy and HAD to have it.  So I measured her all over and we picked out the color she wanted and had it made from them.  It turned out super pretty!

Molly and Ellie were in Heaven watching her get ready - I'm sure they were dreaming about the day that they will be old enough to go to prom.

Brook and Sidney both looked stunning!
Brook walked in the door and I seriously thought he looked super handsome!  That silver suit looked great on him.  His jaw dropped when he saw Sid.  He told her how beautiful she was and she loved hearing that!

Promenade was at the high school and the dance was at Noah's Event Center in AF.
Seriously - look at that skirt twirl!  It's such a beautiful dress!

Molly and Ellie had to get a picture with Brook too.
They thought he looked pretty cute!

They got their pictures taken in Orem by the Shops at Riverwood, then ate dinner at Tucano's.

Left to Right:
Kallie Coburn with Scott Bennett - Natalia Oveson with Cole Griffin - Shelby Ault with Alex Baker - Sidney and Brook - Cecily Yates with Jordan Jimenez - Hailey Robbins with Jacob Rolfe - Kaitlyn Hallows with Jayden Barnum

Sidney was LOVING that she was in the same group with basically every single
best friend that she has!

After dinner, they went to the dance.  While there they saw one of their acquaintance/friend/class mate who was there at prom with her grandpa.  I was so touched by the fact that her grandpa took her when she didn't get asked by one of the boys.  All the boys took a turn dancing with her and they invited her, Lauren, and her grandpa to go to the after party with them.  They both went and played games and had a blast - with both of them!  Sidney said her grandpa was super cool had funny.

I'm so grateful that my child -- and her friends -- are emotional intelligent.  Meaning, they are in tune with others feelings and they are considerate and compassionate of others.

Sidney said she had a great time!
