Easter Caribbean Cruise

Jeff and I went on a 9 day crusie with Travis Parry's company, Innovative Flex Pak to the Eastern Carribbean.  We had an absolutely relaxing time!  Travis had made sure of that.  Every single person going on the cruise got new luggage as a gift before we left.  And all the women got to go to a toenail painting party to have cute toes for the cruise!  It was so nice.  We left on Thursday, November 10, 2016 just to SLC to spend the night because we had an early flight.  We flew out at 7:00 the next morning and arrived in Fort Lauderdale, Florida that afternoon.  We all had our hotel rooms covered at the Marriott.  When we arrived in our rooms, there was a big beach bag for us filled with beach towels, sunscreen, chapstick, thermal water bottles, bug spray, Hempz lotion and luggage tags for the ship.  We also had a dinner party that night.  The next morning, Saturday, we headed for the ship!

We were at sea for a day before arriving in Labadee, Haiti.  Jeff and I had been here before so we just relaxed beachside in a cabana - also rented by IFP for the employees.  Several of the group did a zip line tour.  When I say that we had nothing to worry about, I truely mean it!  The only expense I had was my own souviners!  He even got all our excursions!

Our next stop was San Juan, Puerto Rico.  Jeff and I had been here before too so we just did whatever everyone else wanted to do.  We had lunch at a local resturaunt.  The food was great and the meat protions were HUGE!  Then we went on a little tour of Old San Juan and stopped by one of the forts.  This is one we hadn't been to before so it was cool!

This fort is called San Felipe of Morro Castle

I saw these cool mushrooms growing in the grass and I could'nt resist taking a picture of them.

This cemetary is adjacent to the fort and is for celebrities only.

Our third stop was to St. Martin or St. Maarteen - depending on whether you're on the French or the Dutch side.  We all rented jeeps and went on a jeep tour of the island.

We stopped at a beach front shack for drinks.

This is famous for the airport which is RIGHT next door.  The runway is literally right across the street from the sand.  Airplanes fly right overhead.  It was pretty neat to see.

After we watched the plane land, we headed on over to Waikiki Beach (on the French side) for lunch and beach time.

Un-beknownst to us --- this was a top clothing optional beach.  We all went and got in the water wexcept for Travis.  This lady RIGHT in front of us had her chair facing us.  She decided to take her top off and get some sun.  Travis was stuck there not knowing what to do.  It was pretty funny!  (And she wasn't even old, fat, ugly or anything!  She was yourng, thin and pretty!)

Our last port of call was to St. Kitts.
I was excited to go to this island because we had never been here before.  We started out our day by taking a cataraman out to a place to snorkle.  The water was beautiful and the ride was long and pretty.  The mountains were green and lush.  One of the cataraman skippers said that it is usually more dry and brown but they had just come out of their rainy season.  I'm glad we got to see it green and lush instead of dry!

This was one of my favorite times snorkling - not because the snorkling was awesome or anything.  In fact, it was just OK, but mostly I loved it because I wasn't scared of the water and I was actually helping others not be afraid!  ME!  Miss scardy cat in the water was the NOT SCARED guide!  It was great!  We were with a couple people who had never ever been snorlking before so I loved showing them how it was done and helping them see things!  It was so fun for me.  There were also jelly fish all around us - I have to admit that they FREAKED me out.  But apparently they are the breed of jelly's that don't sting.  At least that's what the cataraman captian and skippers told us.  They were right because no a single one of us got stung.

This volcano is called Nevis Peak

After the snorkling was done, they took us to a beach to play for a couple hours before we had to go back to the ship.

I love the sunsets that we get to see everytime we go crusing.  They are BEAUTIFUL and never disapoint!
We had a relaxing and great time.
